Platinum Certification for CPBM from My Green Lab

Everyone at the CPBM is very pleased to share that we have been awarded a platinum certification from My Green Lab for our efforts to be as sustainable as possible! 

My Green Lab is the industry’s most widely recognized lab sustainability certification program, and platinum is the second-highest degree of certification.  

My Green Lab measures sustainability for labs across 14 different categories, taking into account everything from energy usage to purchasing and travel. At the CPBM, we all try to be as environmentally conscious as possible, so it’s incredibly heartening to be recognised for those efforts. 

Over the past few months, our lab manager Lucy Epton, joined by our technical manager Dr Abbie Kelly and lab technician Ange Young, have been working hard towards this certification. They’ve continually assessed the CPBM’s environmental impact; learned about best practice and made changes to reduce our carbon footprint as a wider research team.  

We look forward to implementing more sustainable practices and to continue to work towards greener and more environmentally friendly research.
